(4) STEM Camp Teacher/Curriculum Developer 

Monday – Friday

6 Hours

 

Job Qualifications

NYS Teacher Certification and/or NYS License (as appropriate)

Responsibilities and Duties: 

1. In collaboration with STEM Camp Instructional team, develop and implement project based learning to expose students to new experiences in Physical, Life, and Earth Sciences with an additional focus on Engineering and Design. (NGSS)
2. Instruct in basic coding utilizing various bots (Teacher training provided if you do not have the working experience with the bots being used)
3. Actively strengthen an interest in STEM topics and educate the girls in STEM fields to build confidence to pursue STEM studies and career path
4. Supervise various field trips (This includes urban walking trips and field hiking/stream exploration trips, which will include the handling of live insects and/or farm animals)
5. Assist with daily lunch preparation (Students and staff will be eating together daily in a family style setting with the meal being prepared by the girls). 
6. Other duties may be assigned.
