Responsibilities:

  • Provides consultation regarding best practices of MTSS
  • Assists with the development and implementation of district wide policies and procedures
  •  Provides consultation and intervention regarding behavior management, effective education and assessment of the behavioral needs of students with and without disabilities.
  • Designs, implements and monitors behavior programs for students.
  • Prepares written reports, as needed by the district to outside psychiatric professionals/ community agencies re:behavioral concerns of students with or without disabilities
  • Conducts classroom observations to support behavior related management & instruction
  • Possesses the ability to conduct functional behavioral assessments and design, implement and monitor behavior intervention plans
  • Serves as a member of the CSE for students with behavioral concerns
  • Provides teacher-coaching & support related to classroom management.
  • Collects & analyzes data to inform behavioral practices across the district.
  • Other duties as assigned·••
Job Qualifications
  1.  Valid NYS certification as a School Psychologist, School Social Worker, School Counselor or 
  2. Special Education Teacher is required
  3. BCBA or courseworkin Applied Behavior Analysis preferred
  4. Must have strong working knowledge of PBIS/Rtl/MTSS
  5.  Experience working with children/adolescents with a variety of psychiatric and/ or behavioral disorders
  6.  Experience developing Functional Behavioral Assessments, positive behavioral supports
  7.   Experience working with staff and administrators on interventions to support student behavior
