APSTA JOB OPPORTUNITY
The Math Interventionist serves as an instructional resource person to provide focused math support at the elementary level. The Interventionist will plan and engage students in small-group and individualized learning activities designed to support students in accessing grade-level content/skills. Working closely with the classroom teacher, the Interventionist will ensure RTI alignment with instructional CORE pacing. The Math Interventionist must have a research-based repertoire of strategies that can be used to improve student achievement in Mathematics. The Math Interventionist will be a member of the Elementary Math Department assigned to work at building(s) within the district. The Math Interventionist will meet weekly with their building Math Coach to ensure seamless support for the classroom programming.
- Job Qualifications
Individuals must have strong math content knowledge and be well versed in research based math teaching practices. In addition, a strong understanding of the core math standards is essential. Individuals must be effective communicators and possess the ability to work collaboratively with peers in order to positively impact teaching practice.
