Home School Coordinator - TOAST - 87817	87817	Home School Coordinator — Thomas O'Brien Academy of Science and Technology APSUE Employment Opportunity General Statement: The incumbent is responsible for communicating the directives of the school principal to students and parents regarding conduct and discipline. The incumbent acts as liaison to maintain ongoing communication in regard to directives and assignments issued by the school principal for the purpose of enforcing school rules. The incumbent is involved in the daily monitoring of students in a non-instructional capacity such as informal meetings, home visits, parent contact, etc. Work is performed under the general direction of a school administration official. Supervision over other staff is not a responsibility of this position. Responsibilities: Meets with students and discusses disciplinary problems such as unsatisfactory conduct, problems in class, attendance and attitude, in order to refer the case to the appropriate administrative staff; Contacts parents to discuss the problems their children are experiencing; Conducts home visits and acts as liaison between home and school; Facilitates and participates in conflict resolution meetings with students; Prepares records and reports related to the students’ actions; Assists school administrators improve parental involvement; May attend school events and/or programs; Enters and retrieves information in an automated information system; Performs related work as required. Bilingual and bicultural skills preferred. Experience working with immigrant and refugee families preferred.	APSUE Step 1: $68371.34

Behavior Specialist - TOAST- 76475	76475	Behavior Specialist - TOAST Full-Time APSTA Employment Opportunity Responsibilities: Provides consultation regarding best practices of MTSS Assists with the development and implementation of district wide policies and procedures Provides consultation and intervention regarding behavior management, effective education and assessment of the behavioral needs of students with and without disabilities. Designs, implements and monitors behavior programs for students. Prepares written reports, as needed by the district to outside psychiatric professionals/ community agencies re:behavioral concerns of students with or without disabilities Conducts classroom observations to support behavior related management & instruction Possesses the ability to conduct functional behavioral assessments and design, implement and monitor behavior intervention plans Serves as a member of the CSE for students with behavioral concerns Provides teacher-coaching & support related to classroom management. Collects & analyzes data to inform behavioral practices across the district. Other duties as assigned·	minimum starting rate: $62,072.00
